Qualified Traffic Flagger Class Description

QUALIFIED TRAFFIC FLAGGER

In this 4-hr. class, the student will learn about the risks and proper flagging techniques involved in safely controlling traffic in our construction zones.  While not yet required by WISDOT, the qualification is beneficial to those individuals who may be engaged in controlling traffic.  Some of the things learned will be; sign placement, risk, communication (with 2nd flagger), proper  technique, courtesy.  Completion of this class will result in a student qualification.    4 hours.

*If you are not a Local 139 member and you have little (under two years) or no experience running heavy equipment, please click on the Apprenticeship for information. If you are an experienced operator who would like to join Local 139, please go to www.iuoe139.org for information.
