2009 Class Descriptions

DOZER

This class focuses on the small dozers (up to a D6 size) and spends a lot of time working on developing the skills needed to be a finish operator. There is a lot of work on slopes and working around obstacles like culverts, manholes, etc. We have the newest technology in automated grading systems available to our students.

TIME: 8:00 A.M. - 4:30 P.M. 

OBJECTIVES:

Learn basic understanding of a dozer along with basic grade techniques.

 

THIS CLASS CONSISTS OF:

30 hours classroom

50 hours lab

80 hours Total Instruction

 

EQUIPMENT REQUIRED:

Hardhat, safety vest, work clothes, work boots.
