Directional Drilling Class Description

DIRECTIONAL DRILLING

 

 

Student will receive instruction in underground directional boring.  Areas of interest will be; plottingthe bore, understanding various soils and their impact on the proposed bore path, identifying hidden hazards, selecting the bore head and drilling fluid, operating the drilling machine, and using locating equipment to determine the underground vertical and horizontal bore alignment.  There will be extensive hands on training during class.
