2009 Class Descriptions

BASIC GRADE CHECKING & PLAN READING

There has been an increased demand for people who can read a blueprint or a hub and set out the stakes. This 1-week class was added for the member who does not necessarily want to be a foreman, but wants to learn and understand the basic grade setting and staking process.

TIME: 8:00 A.M. - 4:30 P.M.

REQUIRED FOR APPRENTICES IN THEIR SECOND YEAR.

OBJECTIVES:

Learn to use the basic tools and principles required to understand the basic staking and plan reading process.

 

THIS CLASS CONSISTS OF:

20 hours classroom

20 hours lab

40 hours Total Instruction

 

EQUIPMENT REQUIRED:

Hardhat, safety vest, work clothes, work boots.
