This class will introduce the many different types of construction equipment and the varied environments the operating engineer can operate machinery in.  Equipment jobsite functions and safety requirements will also be addressed.  Training in operator qualification (OQ), and telescopic material handler/forklift operations.

Required for Registered Apprentices in their first year.

OBJECTIVES:

Learn safe and effective use of various pieces of construction equipment.

75 hours classroom

  5 hours lab

80 hours Total Instruction

EQUIPMENT REQUIRED:

Hardhat, safety vest, work clothes, work boots.
