2009 Class Descriptions

ASPHALT PAVING

Basic paving techniques will be taught as well as working with some of the automatic controls on the pavers. We will be paving the auxiliary parking lot, the access road and other areas to simplify parking for the retiree’s picnic.

TIME: 8:00 A.M. - 4:30 P.M.

OBJECTIVES:

Basic understanding of pavers, rollers, and plant operation.

THIS CLASS CONSISTS OF:

30 hours classroom

50 hours lab

80 hours Total Instruction

EQUIPMENT REQUIRED:

Hardhat, safety vest, work clothes, work boots.
