2010 Class Descriptions

40 HOUR HAZMAT

Provides Basic information needed to protect HAZWOPER Site Workers from Health, Physical and Biological hazards. This course meets the requirements of OSHA 29 CFR 1910.120 and is a combination of both hands-on and classroom.

REQUIRED FOR APPRENTICES IN THEIR FIRST YEAR.

Must be renewed every year.

OBJECTIVES:

To train in the four levels of protection used on Hazmat jobs along with State and Federal regulations and comprehensive practical exercises.

THIS CLASS CONSISTS OF:

 8 hours of Lab

32 hours classroom

40 hours Total Instruction

 

EQUIPMENT REQUIRED:

Hardhat, work clothes, work boots.
